Presbyterian Women

The purpose of Presbyterian Women:

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide
  • to work for justice and peace, and
  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witness to the promise of God's kingdom.

The Presbyterian Women at MUPC meets monthly for a time of fellowship, service, and programs. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Fellowship House at 2:00pm where we have a variety of educational and inspirational programs. The Presbyterian Women are active in both the church and community by:

  • Providing funeral meals
  • Participating in the Thank Offering
  • Providing meals for the Congregational Dinner
  • Providing filled shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child
  • Knitting and distributing prayer shawls and baby blankets

Men's Group

Every Tuesday, the men's group gets together for breakfast at K's Place. Each December they also host an invite-only community dinner to honor special guests from the McConnellsburg area.
