The purpose of Presbyterian Women:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
- to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study
- to support the mission of the church worldwide
- to work for justice and peace, and
- to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witness to the promise of God's kingdom.
The Presbyterian Women at MUPC meets monthly for a time of fellowship, service, and programs. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Fellowship House at 2:00pm where we have a variety of educational and inspirational programs. The Presbyterian Women are active in both the church and community by:
- Providing funeral meals
- Participating in the Thank Offering
- Providing meals for the Congregational Dinner
- Providing filled shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child
- Knitting and distributing prayer shawls and baby blankets
