McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We are a member of Carlisle Presbytery serving forty-four congregations located in eight counties in south central Pennsylvania. Our synod is the Synod of the Trinity.

The General Assembly is a group of commissioners elected by Presbyteries (such as Carlisle Presbytery) which reviews the work of synods, resolves controversies in the church, is responsible for matters of common concern for the whole church and serves as a symbol of unity for the church.
