Pastor's Page	Dear Friends, Summer is rapidly drawing to a close. While the pace has been just a bit slower over the past few months, the faithful work of the church has continued at a steady pace. The session and the trustees have collaborated on having a new sound system installed. The Pastor Nominating Committee has met faithfully. They are close to posting the Church Information Form and will soon begin receiving materials from persons interested in applying to be your next pastor. The deacons have hosted an ice cream social as well as a blood drive. It has been a very busy summer! As you begin making your plans for the coming school year, I urge you to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to serve in the church. Early this fall, the nominating committee will be seeking to discern whom God has chosen to be leaders in this place for the next year. Our children will need volunteers each week to lead them in Children’s Worship. Sunday school classes will be starting up again in September. A weekday Bible study will be offered. Stewardship Sunday will not take place until November, but as you know, we are called to use our gifts and talents for the building up of God’s kingdom all year. How is God calling you to give and serve right now? Please keep the church, the Pastor nominating committee, and me in your prayers. I will keep you in mine.
