Presbyterian Minister Conrad Hyers once wrote, “Humor is not the opposite of seriousness. Humor is the opposite of despair.”

Holy Humor Sunday was started by the ancient Greek church when believers started referring to Christ’s resurrection as God’s practical joke on the devil. The Sunday after Easter, we gather in laughter and light-hearted fun, with kazoos and other musical instruments, or for picnics with silly hats.
